Independence day….

funny...Well, the biggest thing to happen round here finally happened. The Independent trucks team passed through Birmingham and paid us a visit at the new spot, and it was fun. For one, I am stoked to get into the store today without being served an eviction notice or ASBO due to the skaters getting a session going on outside the store and upsetting the neighbours. Seeing as some of the said neighbours have seen fit to contact the local dibble because of a few kids rolling through on their way to the ramp, yesterdays 3 hour session should have brought on a righteous tut-tut-tut fest.

Pictured left is Luke photo opping with Chris Haslam. And that guy ended up being the demo. What a ruler. The rest of the team were travel jaded but Haslam destroyed the ramp alongside the locals who sessioned hard and raised the roof on more than one occasion..and what do you know…it’s almost 11:30 on the thursday morning and they have only gone and turned up…signing off for a bit..

Shoe Goo Dunk High….

Soon comeAs part of the Nike SB ‘limited’ program, Ideal is taking delivery of 12 pairs of the Shoe Goo Dunk High this month. I ripped the following text off of hypebeast.com as I havn’t as yet seen a pair…..

“The upcoming Nike SB Shoe Goo Dunk High is arguably one of the most interesting models out of Nike SB in sometime. There’s a thorough amount of detailing seen as the side panels are represented by a detailed duct tape print which was reproduced through the scanning of an actual duct tape arrangement. Also seen on the upper is a cracked leather treatment and although not seen through the laces, the thick nylon tongue features a red drip design inspired by the actual Shoe Goo packaging. Finishing off the whole package is a yellow translucent midsole.”

So If you want to cop a pair of these kicks then keep an eye out for updates on this site or register interest via 0121 224 7392. These Dunks will be sold instore only. Thanks.

Just remember.

clarificationRight…..Aside from a ton of rain around these parts we got a load happening and i reckon you all need a reminder ‘cos you might not be checking the events page..We got the Ride The Sky premier in the ramp space on the 9th. £2 in for the whole day ’til we close up and this includes a raffle ticket for product give aways. This is going to be a big one too. Expecting a big turn out from around the country as we are hosting the first of only 5 official premieres so you have the chance to be the first to watch a highly rated flick so get down here and get involved.

Then the following evening the Antiz team are passing through as part of the Stella tour. [free beer?]. This is going to be from 6pm until 10pm. Ramp destruction.

Waiting on final confirmation but I heard from The Bear that he is going to be with us on the 17th and he is bringing a few friends from America with him. Namely the Independent team. The whole month is going to be sick but this is going to be a big one. Just imagine, Joe Habgood is going to pay us a visit, and he’s also bringing Chris Haslam, Darren Navarette, Alex Olsen, Peter Hewitt, Jeff Grosso, Stu Graham and Andrew Allen. So far I looks like it’ll be an evening session but certain confirmation is imminent….so check back soon…….
