Ideal alummni Steve Woods has been lurking the store today awaiting a photojob at the youth courts round the corner.

We’ve known Steve since he was a nipper, when he was a definite street skating urchin, and it’s rad to see him doing well. These days he gets regular photos in the papers covering sports, celebs and news items and is driven enough to do his own work too. If only he could find enough time to skate….maybe this summer as the park ratio increases around Birmingham eh?..

Check the size of the rigs he carries around on a daily basis. Each one costs as much as a family car and almost weighs the same…

Pretty much got a full bus for the trip to Leeds on February the 10th.

Maybe a few places left for any laggers out there. And, as a bonus, we had Chris Pulman through the store today and as he is stoked on Ideal doing something for the locals that he is flowing us some product to give away on the day. What a bonus!

So for the next three trips at least one person is going to walk away in a new set of Fallen kicks. How rad is that.!

It’s a rare dry day out there and none other than Jason and Neil roll through on their way to get their skate on. Hopes are high and so is the sun so there’s no time to waste.

Ideal also wants to take this digital moment to congratulate Jason on his 19th birthday. Hope the year ahead is a RAD one and all yr landings are smoooooth.

A few things coming together.

The Diamond T’s will finally be hitting the store tomorrow [15/01/2008] after a very long wait and stock will be very limited. If you want to it hook up then don’t be too slow off the mark.

Also have had word from Chris Johnson that he is holding an exhibition at the Spine Gallery in Worcester. Take a look at the events page, soak up the details and get along and support your scene. Use it or lose it!…..

Plus, we are getting some names in regards to our trip to lovely Leeds. At the moment seats are limited to just 14 [minibus] but if we get a ton of people wanting to come then we’ll try and get a proper big ol’ coach involved. So get to the store and get involved. January doesn’t have to be rubbish….

A happy new year to you all! To celebrate 2008 and all the wonders of Birmingham we are organising a trip to Leeds. Don’t get me wrong, Ideal has nothing but love for Birmingham, but if the weather’s bad and you want some quality indoor action then you can’t fault a trip to The Works. It’s going to take place on Sunday the 10th of February, places are limited and a purchase is necessary. A ticket for the trip which includes the cost of entry will be £20. Under 18s will need written permission from parent/guardians and pick up/ drop off will be from the Ideal store with the pick up being 10 a.m. and drop off being approx 9 p.m.
